2020 sees us return to Longthorns Farm for The Dorset Wedding Festival on 26th April. Book your entries HERE!

We’ll again be working with Camelot Marquees, who have been with us since we started, eight years ago. No idea where that time has gone!

The Dorset Wedding Festival was created because we felt that wedding fairs were quite corporate in their approach, with couples having flyers thrust in their faces as they walked around the exhibition. The shell scheme build with narrow aisles can also be congested and intimidating for people.

So, The Dorset Wedding Festival was born. The whole idea is for couples’ wedding planning experience to be fun and relaxing. To be able to chat to local companies like they’re chatting to a friend. To be given advice and not the hard-sell at every table. To spend valuable time together, listening to live music, having a bite to eat or a drink and thinking about the type of wedding you’d both like.

Couples are so lucky to be having a Dorset wedding as we really are spoilt for choice in terms of venues and wedding suppliers – there really is something for everyone! And any of the exhibitors at The Dorset Wedding Festival will be happy to help you and point you in the right direction, whether what you’re looking for can be found at our event or not.

This video from last year’s Dorset Wedding Festival will give you an idea of what to expect.

Parking is on grass at Longthorns, so we’d advise sensible footwear and even wellies, if the British weather isn’t cooperating. On arrival at The Dairy Parlour, you’ll receive a cotton jute bag, so you don’t have to carry leaflets, samples and other bits & bobs you pick up around the fair, in your hands. It’s also a handy bag to keep in your handbag/car for shopping, as it folds up small.

At the entrance, feel free to ask any questions you may have or point out any suppliers you may be looking for and someone will point you in their direction. You can also come back to the entrance at any point for any assistance.

As you’re walking around the event, take the opportunity to chat to suppliers. They genuinely want to help you and will offer advice based on their experience. Whilst you have experts in front of you, pick their brains and ask questions. You can see the list of exhibitors HERE, which is being updated as companies book in to join us.
